CFL BULBS = SAVINGS

When I first moved into my apartment a few years ago I switched all the light bulbs to cfl bulbs (about a dozen). According to numerous sources that I have found changing a single cfl bulb can save on average $30 to $40 over the lifespan of the bulb. For me that means a savings of about $360 to $480! These bulbs are also cooler in temperature. This means that you can save money on cooling your home in the summer by having cfl bulbs on instead of using traditional light bulbs. If saving money is not enough of an incentive for you to switch to cfl bulbs how about doing less work? That's right, cfl bulbs tend to last about 10x longer than traditional bulbs. I know that in the 2 plus years that I have lived here I have not had a single cfl bulb burnout.

If you want to save money in the long run, keep your home cooler in the summer, and replace less light bulbs over the course of your life make the switch.

Happy Savings!
